Abstract generation in progress

A traditional company in Hong Kong, Ming Cheng Group, which specializes in masonry and bricklaying, has exchanged 4,250 Bitcoins at once using convertible notes and warrants. (Background: The second-generation Solana phone, Seeker, has begun shipping, but an additional fee is required, and the new coin $SKR has not yet arrived.) (Supplementary background: The second-generation Solana phone, Seeker, started shipping on August 4, alongside the launch of the new coin $SKR and TEEPIN infrastructure.) The second-generation phone Seeker, released by the public blockchain Solana, began pre-orders at $500 last year and has received positive feedback from crypto world users due to the airdrop frenzy. Users who started pre-ordering last year should have already received various token airdrops worth between $10 and over $200 in their Solana wallets. Official global shipping of the Seeker phone began on August 4, and after obtaining the first batch of Seekers, Dongqu conducted a speedy unboxing to highlight noteworthy details and speculate on possible future functionalities. Packaging and Phone Appearance The Solana Seeker employs cardboard packaging, with the outer box made from matte hardened sticker glue, featuring laser engravings matching the phone's size. Upon opening the first layer, you find the phone; the second layer contains the manual, quick start guide, and mnemonic phrase card; the last layer includes the charging cable and SIM card ejector. There is no charger included, and the cables are secured without adhesive paper sleeves. Compared to other phone unboxing designs, it is relatively unremarkable but not bad either. Considering that most users might store the mnemonic phrase card inside the phone box, Dongqu has particularly focused on the box's hardness and pressure-resistant design. The lid is notably reinforced, and while keeping the mnemonic phrase card in the factory box should not pose significant issues over the years, users are reminded that the mnemonic phrase card should be backed up securely in multiple locations to avoid property loss. Unboxing Experience Appearance Design The overall design is quite simple, with a 93% AMOLED 120hz screen on the front, only volume buttons on the left, and a fingerprint power button on the right. The top has only a microphone, with a SIM card slot, charging port, and speaker at the bottom, and it also supports eSIM. Processor Performance The Solana Seeker uses the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, with a maximum frequency of 2.5 GHz, and an AnTuTu score of 190,838, slightly lower than the 2020 flagship Qualcomm 865 by about 10%. The GPU is Mali G615 MC2, scoring 69,486 and 80,060 in two Vulkan scenes, respectively. However, the Dimensity 7300 has many improvements in decoding capabilities and power efficiency compared to its predecessor. Memory The memory configuration features 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, with the actual factory system occupying about 16GB, leaving around 112GB available. This may be somewhat restrictive for playing large games. Screen Based on information from the system, the Solana Seeker is equipped with a 2670x1200 AMOLED screen, supporting 1 to 120hz. In practical tests, it mostly operates at 120hz during regular menu navigation, and when power-saving mode is activated, it automatically drops to 60hz. Since no standby display time feature was found, it is presumed not to support it, leaving uncertainty on how to activate 1hz. Additionally, at brightness levels below 50%, noticeable PWM dimming can be captured with a second phone, so users playing in dark environments need to be cautious. In some games, noticeable screen ghosting occurs, especially in games that do not have clear 120hz adaptations. Battery and Charging The charging supports Type C 5-30w PD specifications, with the system detecting a battery size of 4,500 mAh. In practical tests, charging from 51% to 64% took about 9 minutes, and at 64%, the system indicated that it would still require 18 minutes to fully charge. The stage from 90% to full only took 7 minutes, which is significantly faster than Google Pixel and some flagship phones. However, there is concern about whether such rapid charging speeds from 80% to 100% will excessively harm battery lifespan. The wireless charging test using a Qi2 certified portable charger took 48 minutes to charge from 88% to full, still displaying 'fast charging', but it is uncertain whether charging is done via Qi2, requiring further testing. Camera The camera features a combination of a single lens, a telephoto lens, and a telescope lens, but in practical testing, the app composition can only achieve 2x optical zoom, with digital zoom reaching up to 20x (although it becomes very blurry when cropped). The wide-angle is 0.6x, estimated to be around 135-150 degrees. In terms of image quality, it cannot compete with the iPhone, but for most daytime scenes, this camera functionality is quite sufficient. Indoor Sample One-time Sample Two-time Sample Wide Angle Sample 20x Digital Zoom... System Content The Solana Seeker runs on native Android 15, with minimal customization. The menu positions are very close to those of Google Pixel 8 & 9, with the additional functions added on top of the original system. No extra programs were installed, except for Wallet and dApp Store, and there is a built-in Seed Vault function at the hardware system level, which is said to be an isolated chip from the phone's hardware, so even if the phone is hacked, the mnemonic phrase cannot be stolen. The Seed Vault function can be activated at the top of the system settings, allowing storage of any mnemonic phrases consisting of 24 characters, meaning that keys for both Ethereum and Bitcoin are supported. If developer ecosystems support it, we may soon see people using this phone for Ethereum and Bitcoin payments. dApp Store Many crypto world applications were previously designed for computer web versions, often leading to connection errors with hardware wallets or hot wallets on phones. However, this issue may be resolved on the Seeker, as the dApp Store primarily lists applications that natively support Seeker functionalities. With Solana's official endorsement and support, it is believed that problems encountered when operating smart contracts on mobile devices can be reduced. However, whether the majority of Solana applications can be listed on the dApp Store will depend on the efforts of Solana officials. If there are continuous updates and related rights airdrops, it may lead to significant customer feedback and bug improvements for both the first-generation phone and Seeker, resulting in more users and more vendors willing to list relevant applications on the dApp Store. Overall Evaluation and Speculation The Solana Seeker unlocks quickly with a fingerprint and features a 120hz AMOLED screen, making it feel less like a mid-range phone in everyday operations. Its configuration is similar to that of the Oppo A5 Pro. Meanwhile, the processor, Dimensity 7300, appears to be conservatively tuned, perhaps due to the plastic shell, as game testing falls into a barely usable stage; while playing large games like Genshin Impact, it continues to...
