Consensys CEO: ETH may surpass BTC next year.
Ethereum co-founder and Consensys CEO Joe Lubin stated that Ethereum is the natural evolutionary form of internet protocols and is a core component of the Web3 decentralized network. He defines Ethereum as a new type of "trustware" and views trust as a virtual commodity, while Ether (ETH) is the world's highest "octane" trust commodity.
On this basis of trust, transactions, protocols, and relationships can be executed automatically, verified, and transparent, thus driving the global economy to operate at high speed on the Web3 track.
Lubin talks about the "Flippening" — the market capitalization of ETH surpassing that of Bitcoin (BTC). While some believe this will never happen and others anticipate it will take years, he candidly stated that surprising changes could occur within the next year, with the key driving force behind this shift being companies actively incorporating ETH into their treasury assets.
If this prediction comes true, 2025 may become a historic turning point for the cryptocurrency industry.
