On August 11, American convenience store chain Sheetz announced that it will begin accepting Bitcoin and other Crypto Assets as a payment method, and will offer a 50% discount every day for customers shopping with Crypto Assets. Sheetz is a chain valued at $6.2 billion, with 700 stores across the United States.
Previously, the fast food chain Steak 'n Shake began accepting Bitcoin payments in its stores across the United States starting May 16. Its Chief Operating Officer stated that same-store sales increased by 10.7% in the second quarter after adopting Bitcoin payments, and BTC has become a "game changer."
